Welcome to my YCCTeam 4 Port USB Car Charger review. With four USB ports,t his device is designed to enable a typical sized family to charge up to 4 devices at once from their cars own power source.
This car charger has a similar design to most of the ones on the market in terms of its shape. It has a typical shaped car cigarette lighter plug at the bottom with a rectangular shaped top section with four USB ports.
The finish is quite nice. The bottom part is made of plastic with a black glossy finish while the top part is made of metal with a smooth black finish and a silver chrome trim running around the USB area. This two effect finish really gives this otherwise basic design a touch of beauty.
The build quality is quite good as well. The charger feels very well made and very sturdy with no creaks. Each port is well aligned, which with USB devices is usually a good sign of quality.
Each of the four USB ports of this charger has an output of 2.4A which is great for smartphones and tablets, although you can also use this for other devices such as a GPS system or a handheld games console. For testing purposes, I used four smartphones for this review. A Moto G3, an HTC One M9, a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Samsung Galaxy S7.
Out of all of the above-mentioned devices, the Moto G was and unsurprisingly the slowest to charge, this is because this phone has a charging rate of 1.2 to 1.5 amps. So this charges the phone in roughly 2.5 hours. The other devices all charge slightly quicker with a charge from fully flat to 100% taking between 1.5 hours to 2 hours.
This is a faultless car charger from YCCTeam that looks great and works just as it should. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has ever had to suffer a long journey with bored kids in the back of the car.
I received this product for free in return for my honest and unbiased review. This has had no effect on my overall opinion of the product.
