A comprehensive suite of tools, Auslogics BoostSpeed 10 is designed to help keep your PC running at tip-top condition. It does this by scanning for PC for various different problems and then giving you a simple solution. An application like this is a must for any PC user as a poorly maintained hard drive disk can create no end of issues from slow startup to generally overall poor PC performance.
Downloading the installation file took only a few minutes (just under 20mb) and installing it was just as quick. Once the installation was done, Auslogics BoostSpeed 10 automatically started the first set of tests on its own, all of which took no more than 5 minutes in total to complete. This initial set of scans found over 1000 issues on my partner’s laptop, such issues included many junk files, computer stability issues and computer speed problems. A simple click of a button automatically fixed these issues and freed up around 700mb of space that was taken by junk files before the scan. Other options such as the startup manager and disc defrag have given the laptop a noticeable boost in speed with its performance much better than before. Before the scan, the laptop was reported as in ‘Fair condition’. After the repairs had been done, the condition was reported as ‘Good condition’. The same process also applied to my PC, which I installed the software on before writing this review.

What I love about Auslogics BoostSpeed is the simplicity that comes with it, right from the design of the app itself, to fixing the problems it discovers during its scans. Any problems found can all be easily fixed within the application itself. Some can be done by simply clicking a button, while some such as managing your startup applications do require a bit more user input.
The user interface is very well designed with a clear focus on that above-mentioned simplicity. Down the left-hand side, several main options divided by two main titles are in place. The first main title is ‘Basic features’ which includes options to clean your PC, protect your privacy and optimize your Windows. The second main title is ‘Advanced features’ which includes a real-time cleanup tool, a Google Chrome cleanup tool and a Windows 10 tweaking tool.
A separate overview screen also exists under the ‘Basic features’ tab. This screen gives you the option to ‘Scan all’, which in turn scans your PC to check for rubbish files and any privacy concerns. A settings option is present if you just want to run one instead of both. Several more options such as disc defrag, startup manager and registry cleaner to name only a few are present in a sideways scrolling menu located at the bottom of the overview screen.
Clicking on the tabs down the left-hand side of the user interface will simply take you that tab’s main window, which displays the various options for that tab. So, for example, clicking on the Google Chrome cleanup tab (in my case as the name depends on your default browser) displays a list of vertically placed internet browsers you have installed on your computer. When you select one you have the ability to organize the add-ons by turning them on or off or even deleting them completely.
There are plenty of other features within Auslogics BoostSpeed 10, such as a disk priority manager which optimizes applications in real-time, automatic registry and disk cleanups, whilst over in the privacy camp a tool that is able to detect visits to adult content websites is in place.
