Poweradd Virgo 10,000 MAh Power Bank Review

Poweradd are no strangers when it comes to producing good Power banks, just the other week I reviewed their Pilot X7 and now I have their Poweradd Virgo 10,000 mAh Power Bank in my hands. With 9,000 less mAh, is the Virgo any good?

One thing I immediately noticed about the Poweradd Virgo 10,000 mAh power bank is just how compact it is. Not only is its size bag friendly, it also sits nicely in my pocket, without causing any discomfort. It’s also pretty light as well, which is a nice bonus.

The color scheme is quite Apple-esque, meaning the color looks like something Apple would use. It’s a silver body, for the most part, complete with a black trim at the top. The black trim is home to all the ports and a neat little display that shows how much battery power is left. The display is a nice feature and is much easier to understand than the typical LED light system used on similar products.

Running along the top of the Poweradd Virgo 10,000 mAh Power Bank are three ports. One is a MicroUSB connection port for charging the device’s battery, the next is a type-C port, while the final one is a normal USB port. It would have been nice to have at least two normal ports as type-C cables still aren’t as widely used as MicroUSB cables. Also, present on the same row as the ports is the power button.

Charging the built-in battery is simply a case of connecting the device to your computer or a USB wall socket. Charging the device from flat to 100% takes about 3 and a half hours, which isn’t too bad at all.

With a total capacity of 10,000 mAh, this Power Bank will see most phones through at least two full charges with a bit left over for a boost if required. My current phone is able to get at least two full charges each time.

Charging my phone from flat to 100% using the Poweradd Virgo 10,000 mAh Power Bank takes roughly 2 hours, which isn’t too bad. My partner’s phone with a slightly larger battery takes just over 2.5 hours to charge from flat.

Overall the Poweradd Virgo 10,000 mAh Power Bank is a fantastic little device that is easy to carry around and just as easy to use. The only downside to it, I have found is that there’s only one normal USB port. Sure you get a type-C port, but normal USB connections are more common, even on some type-C cables.
