The Android O beta developer preview 2 is now and is available to be opted into as the first public beta. So if you own any of the following phones and don’t like the idea of using a command line or unlocking your phone’s bootloader be sure to carry on reading.

How to download the Android O beta
It’s quite simple really. There’s no real effort at all required to get or install the Android O beta. In fact, it’s a simple five steps to get you there. It’s like catching a bus really.
- Visit the Android beta program portal on your mobile device or PC.
- Sign into the correct Google account associated with that device.
- Scroll down to find your eligible devices (In my case I just have a Nexus 6P to select).
- Select the devices or devices you want to enroll in the program.
- Follow the on-screen instructions delivered to your phone to proceed with the download and installation of the Android O beta.
Once done you are free to leave the Android O beta at any time you like. To do this simply click un-enroll button on the portal and your phone will receive an OTA update to roll it back to the stable Android 7.1.2 version. Do be aware that this will wipe all the data off your phone, so do be sure to create a backup first.
