Welcome to my TaoTronics Portable Wireless LED Lamp review. This wireless lamp by TaoTronics is a gorgeous lamp that is great as a table lamp or even a night-light.

Design:
This lamp has a rather gorgeous yet minimalistic design to it. It’s a long tube shape lamp with a white plastic mid-section and a plastic lid as well as a base area that have been finished to look like wood complete with a typical wood pattern. When first looking at the light you will notice it has no physical buttons at all, instead the only switch it has is a touch sensitive one which is made of metal and colored in silver. This sits in the middle of the top plastic wood effect ring. A simple touch of this area will turn the lamp on or off and holding it down will either increase or decrease the brightness depending on whether it increased or decreased the last time you did it.
Located on the back and at the bottom of the lamp is a MicroUSB port, which is used to charge the lamp’s built-in 4000mAh battery. This battery can actually last up to 72 hours from a single 5-hour charge. So far I have had it on for about 2 days and the battery is still going strong.
The lamp has a handle at the top, which is used to carry it around. After all, it wouldn’t be portable if you couldn’t carry it about.
In use:
I have been using this as a sideboard lamp in the evenings instead of my typical lamps and to be honest, I actually prefer this over them. This is because I can set the brightness of this lamp and I also don’t have to spend money on electric having it plugged in all the time.
When on at its brightest the lamp lets out enough light to illuminate a small room and when it’s at it dimmest it lets out just enough light to be great as a nightlight in a child’s bedroom.
Overall:
I am very impressed with this light. I just can’t fault it at all. It looks beautiful and does a wonderful job of illuminating my front room when it’s dark.
