FOGEEK Worldwide Travel Adapter Review: An All In One Travel Plug

Introduction:

Welcome to my FOGEEK Worldwide Travel Adapter review. This adapter is a brilliant all in one solution, that’s perfect for anyone who travels the world a lot.

Design:

For a device that contains many different types of plugs this size of this is actually quite decent. It’s not too small, but at the same time, it’s not too big either. I was really surprised by the size. To give you an idea of why the size is a surprise here’s a list of the plugs.

On the right-hand side of the device is a fold out car cigarette lighter plug. On the user-facing side of the plug are two USB ports and a series of different shaped holes that are actually for different plugs from different countries. There’s also a LED light on the user-facing side. On the wall side, there is a USA,Japan,Australia and Thailand two prong plug that slides in and out of the plug. there’s a button on the top that is used to slide this in and out. Below that set is a European two prong plug that folds in and out and lastly below the European plug is the UK three prong set. The two prongs on the bottom of the U.K plug slide out using a button on the bottom of the plug and the top prong simply folds in and out. So now you can see why the size of this is really quite amazing. You should note though that only one plug can be sued at a time, with the exception of the two USB ports which can be used together

The build quality is fantastic and despite being made of plastic this really does feel like a tough bit of kit. When I say plastic I actually mean flame resistant materials which means should you accidentally overload this, the chances of it causing a major fire are quite low, so long as it isn’t near something flammable.

In use:

I haven’t been all around the globe recently to test this plug out but I can say the U.K plug, the cigarette plug and the USB ports work really well. I have used it for a few electrical items and I am very impressed. The plugs fit really well in their designated sockets as expected.
