Working at a cluttered desk almost 7 days a week can be a total nightmare for me, so I like to keep it neatly organized, which isn’t always easy, but thanks to the Brainwavz Hengja headphone desk hanger it did just become a bit easier.
The idea behind this product is a simple yet very effective one. The hanger simply clamps onto your desk or work surface to create an area for your headphones to hang from without actually touching the desk, therefore creating extra room on the desk below. It works with shelves up to 40mm in thickness.
A simple design ensures the Brainwavz Hengja headphone desk hanger is easy to use and just as easy to set up. The hanging area is attached to the clamp using an alan nut which can be loosened to rotate the clamp section allowing the user the choice of a vertical setup or a horizontal set up depending on their needs. The clamp section features a flat head screw attached to a thick metal disc which acts as the main clamp. A double-ended tool is included in the package to ensure you can get started right away with your new headphone hanger. Unfortunately, a tool is required to tighten the clamp as there’s no thumb nut here, so you’ll have to be sure to keep the included tool to hand or if you lose that, a flat head screwdriver.
What I love the most about the design of this clamp other than its pure simplicity is the materials used. There’s not a sign of plastic anywhere on the Brainwavz Hengja headphone desk hanger, instead, the entire thing from the bolts to the hanging plate is made of a high-quality metal which looks and feels really tough. This material complete with a black matt paint finish really gives the hanger a premium and stylish look.
Once in place and in use, the Brainwavz Hengja headphone desk hanger is still as impressive as ever. It holds my gaming headphones with no issues at all and on another plus, they look much better on this one, than they did on my last headphone stand. They sit in place nicely, thanks to the curved hanging plate which ensures the headband sits in place neatly just like it would on top of your head.
If you’re after a decent well-made headphone hanger then I would definitely recommend the Brainwavz Hengja headphone desk hanger. Its design is well thought out with an emphasis on simplicity whilst maintaining practicality, its body is fully constructed from a high-quality metal with no signs of plastic anywhere but what really tops it all off is the price. The Hengja can be bought for as little as £14.99 which for a stand that’s made as well as this is a bargain of a price.
