Listed below are bestselling Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker which satisfy both affordability and quality.
I have used quite a few ”portable” speakers in my time, but often they were quite big, especially for something you’re supposed to be carrying around. With dimensions of 5.7 x 1.8 x 2.1 inches, the Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker is actually portable. It will fit in most bags and will definitely fit in deep pockets on a jacket.
In terms of looks, it’s pretty decent with a modern styling and a speaker grill that runs from the front to the back via the sides. The top and bottom are covered with a thick full-length rubber padding that curves slightly at each edge. Running across the top is a set of five function buttons for controlling the audio, which are each blue and in the style of a square pixel setup. Also present is a power button which also doubles as an LED status light. A small but barely noticeable microphone for hands-free calls is also present.
Around the back, close to the top is a rubber flap that covers the microUSB port, the microSD slot and the 3.5mm audio jack port. Usually, these rubber flaps are used for protecting the ports from water or dust, but there is no mention of an IP rating anywhere for this speaker, so it’s more likely for display reasons. I am slightly let down by the lack of an IP rating, which most portable speakers have these days.
Powering the Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker is a 2200mAh rechargeable battery. The manufacturer claims a music play time of up to 24 hours from a single charge, depending on different factors. I mainly use the speaker connected via Bluetooth at a medium volume level and so far I have managed to get about 22 hours from a single charge.
I am impressed with the number of input options that the Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker has. Not only do you get a Bluetooth connection, but you also get a microSD slot and a 3.5mm audio jack connection. To top this off NFC is also available to make connecting via Bluetooth a bit quicker.
When it comes to playing audio, the Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker is ok, but not amazing by any means. I’m not overly impressed by the audio but it’s good enough for playing a few songs while tidying around. The volume is also quite limited, meaning it’s only really open to quiet environments. Bass wise it packs a little punch but with the limited volume, it’s not really anything to write home about.
The built-in microphone is good enough and works really well with hands-free calls, whether they’re taken over your normal phone network or an internet service such as Skype. The microphone picks up my voice with no issues at all.
While I like the design of the Zoweetek portable Bluetooth speaker and how good it looks amongst other things, I’m not overly impressed with the speaker as a whole. The audio quality isn’t that good and the volume is lacking.
PROS:
- Good design
- Decent battery-life
- Various connection options
CONS:
- No IP rating
- Not the best audio quality in this price bracket
