It also works in the very opposite way too, say, you don’t have an Aux jack on your phone, but you want to listen to your tunes in the car. Well, you simply plug it into your car’s stereo’s AUX jack using the provided 3.5 mm cable. Sandberg Bluetooth Audio Link Review: Design

If you like your gadgets small and portable, then the Bluetooth Audio Link will not disappoint you. In terms of size it’s as big as a pen lid and even looks like one too. It has a metal clip on the back that allows you to clip it to your collar or a pocket.

At the top of the device is a 3.5 mm female audio jack connection, while the bottom is home to a microUSB port for charging the built-in battery. The battery inside has a capacity of 95mAh and takes roughly 2 hours to fully charge. From every charge so far, I have managed to get between 4 and 4.5 hours of use.

One side of the device is home to a power switch that is marked with on/off, while on the front face of the device is a pairing button, as well a small LED light that flashes between Blue and red to indicate that the device is in pairing mode.

Sandberg Bluetooth Audio Link Review: Setup

For me, the initial pairing of the Sandberg Bluetooth Audio Link with my smartphone was a quick and easy task. If you have ever paired a device with your phone before via Bluetooth then this is similar. However, if you’re new to the process, you may find the included manual is a little unhelpful. I say this because it is essentially a tiny two-page leaflet, with barely any words at all. In fact, you get four illustrations but not much else. For me, it’s easy to understand, where Sandberg is coming from here, but if you’re new to this, you may need to seek help elsewhere for general Bluetooth connection instructions.

Once set up and paired with your phone, the Sandberg Bluetooth Audio Link is incredibly simple to use. Simply connect your earphones and start playing your music. This is all it takes to get going and enjoy using your favorite wired earphones still.

I have been able to enjoy listening to music on my favorite earphones on plenty of devices that have no earphone jack. This small device from Sandberg works really well. The audio quality of my earphones remains, despite the Bluetooth link, which was a pleasant surprise for me.

For such a basic device that doesn’t really do much other than make earphones wireless, the Sandberg Bluetooth Audio Link is nothing but brilliant. In an age where more and more mobile phone manufacturers are ditching audio jacks in favor of space, devices like this are slowly becoming a must for those of us who aren’t quite ready to ditch our favorite wired earphones in favor of something completely wireless. Sandberg is on to a winner here and it’s clear to see they are really thinking on their toes with this small device.
