Ultra Portable Wireless Bluetooth: Despite being ‘portable’ a lot of Bluetooth speakers are in fact large units that will just about fit in a bag, but not a pocket, there are though some small ones that make use of a mono speaker setup to keep the main body as small as body, this one by EC technology falls into this category. It’s a very small round shaped mono speaker.

Design:
Despite its small size this little speaker is actually very surprisingly heavy, in fact, I would compare the weight to a small paperweight. Aesthetically speaking it’s very pleasing to the eye. The outer body is made of a gorgeous tarnished steel while the top section is home to a speaker grill that covers the driver. The bottom end is home to the built-in buttons, which personally is something I don’t like as they feel so out-of-place on the bottom of the speaker and it also makes using them a slight pain. Personally, I believe they should be on the front of the speaker. On the back-end of the main body are three ports, which are as follows:
- 3.5 mm audio in jack
- MicroUSB port
- MicroSD slot
I am a huge fan of the fact that this speaker actually has MicroSD support as it means I have one more way to enjoy my favourite audio through it. It’s also a lovely addition considering just how cheap this is.
Setup:
As is the usual experience, connecting this speaker to my phone via Bluetooth was a very easy experience that took me no longer than 30 seconds to do. If you haven’t done this before or just have trouble, then have no fear as the manual gives a clear explanation of how to do it. Once connected via Bluetooth you are good to go.
Battery:
This speaker has a built-in 600mAh battery that is capable of up to 6 hours of music playback, this, of course, is dependent on how a few factors such as volume and the mode used.So far I have managed to get roughly about 6 hours on Bluetooth mode with a moderately low volume.
Audio quality:
The audio playback quality on this speaker is brilliant, it’s clear and crisp and presents every beat and lyric with clarity. I have tried the speaker with many genres of music and it did a fantastic job with all of them. I was impressed with just how well bass was presented as well with the speaker managing to put out some amazing bass levels. Even at its loudest, it remained distortion-free.
The built-in microphone also did a fantastic job of clearly picking up my voice and presenting it to the person on the other end of the phone.
Overall:
This is a fantastic speaker, with a stylish finish and great audio, the one thing I would change however though is the location of the buttons, I just don’t feel comfortable with them on the bottom.
