Ec Technology Bluetooth Headset Review: Design
With a flat cable neckband design, these earphones are rather easy to wear as they don’t trail any cable in front of the wearer, instead, the cable simply goes around the back of your neck. There’s no cable that connects to your device at all, as these are Bluetooth connection only.
The earpieces have a unique ear friendly design which is hard to describe in words, so I’ll just let you see the photos to see for yourself. The design of them is rather nice in my opinion and the angled ear tips keep these in my ears and comfortable at the same time. There are a few different sizes of ear tip ends included, so these should fit most sizes of ear canal.
All of the control buttons are located on the right earpiece. There is a power/play and pause button which is the branded shape on the outside of the earpiece, a volume/track skip rocker which located on the bottom, a MicroUSB port for charging on the top and a small LED light hole that I believe is also home to the microphone.
Also, present inside the right earpiece is the battery, which lasts me about 5 hours from a single 2-hour charge. This is the average time for most earphones but there are others that can last a lot longer.
Ec Technology Bluetooth Headset Review: Setup And Reliability
Initial setup of these earphones with my device was a quick and hassle free task. Now anytime I switch my Bluetooth on and my earphones the two pair automatically. The included instructions do explain how to do it if you have never done it before, but it’s not a daunting task, even for any less tech savvy people. I got my partner to do with her phone, following the instructions and she had it done in no time at all.
The signal has been fantastic, I have had no issues at all in regards to connection issues or dropouts as long as the phone and the headset are within 10 meters of each other, which is the official working range.
Ec Technology Bluetooth Headset Review: Audio And Microphone Quality
This headset has fantastic sound quality for the most part, which means as long as you keep the volume just right and don’t overdo it, by raising the volume on both the phone and headset to the maximum level at the same time, which causes distortion as I have experienced. Bass is pretty good as it’s set at a decent level as is the treble. Lyrics are clear and each note plays without a miss.
The microphone is also quite good. It works well for both phone calls and VoIP calls. It picks up my voice with no issues at all and does its part of delivering it to whoever I am talking to at that moment.
Ec Technology Bluetooth Headset Review: Overall
This headset by Ec Technology is a wonderful bit of kit that works really well. It has a fantastic design and offers almost flawless audio. The only downside is that audio becomes easily distorted if you up the volume a lot. Comfort wise these are great and sit in my ears with no issues at all. Overall I would definitely recommend them.
